Börsenmedien AG takes over finanztreff.de

Börsenmedien AG, known for its weekly investor magazine DER AKTIONÄR, has taken over 100% of the shares in vwd netsolutions GmbH (finanztreff.de). The investor portal will continue under the existing brand, and the team headed by Lutz Victor Wengorz will also remain on board.

“finanztreff.de is one of the oldest sites in the stock exchange world, a portal rich in tradition that I have always greatly appreciated since its establishment", explains Bend Förtsch, owner of Börsenmedien AG. "We want to restore the offer to its former strength. Above all by addressing topics that have not been at the core of development activities so far, such as mobile solutions."

The quality of the share price data and further development are ensured in the long term through a strategic partnership with vwd, the former owner of the portal.

"We are delighted to have found a new home for finanztreff.de," explains Udo Kersting, Managing Director of vwd GmbH. "Börsenmedien AG stands for the high quality that we want for the portal. We are also pleased that we will remain involved as a strategic partner for software and data solutions. After all, finanztreff.de has been part of our business for over 16 years.”

The managing director of vwd netsolutions GmbH, Lutz Victor Wengorz, is also enthusiastic about the new owner: "Börsenmedien AG speaks the language of committed private investors like no other. I am confident that together we will develop many exciting ideas for the industry.”

finanztreff.de's particular strength lies in supporting users with intelligent data tools for their investment decisions. Börsenmedien AG, on the other hand, is known among private investors for its accurate analyses. "Ultimately, the task now is to combine core competencies and make them available to users on an individual basis," says Bernd Förtsch, outlining the company's future strategy.

Both parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
